Meet Ellie

Do you ever catch yourself daydreaming about your favorite classic stories? What would you do if you were suddenly sucked into their time? Do you think you would be able to blend in while sitting around a Regency drawing room? Or would people instantly catch on that you were a time period imposter?

If these are the questions you find yourself pondering, you’re in the right place.

My name is Ellie Dashwood. I’ve been helping people better understand the worlds of classic literature and history since 2017. That’s when I uploaded my very first YouTube video, titled “Why is Mr Darcy so rich?” explaining the economics of Pride and Prejudice.

Since then, I’ve helped thousands of people better understand their favorite stories and, most importantly, prepare for any eventual time travel to the 19th century that may befall them. You never know when understanding proper Victorian social call etiquette may come in handy.
